List of Second Amendment Sanctuaries in Virginia, As of Jan. 16
As more and more counties vote to become Second Amendment sanctuaries, we’ve compiled a list to help you keep track.
Lancaster County VA, adopts Second Amendment resolution
WHEREAS, the Board is concerned that introduced legislation for the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, if passed, will infringe upon rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article 1, 8 13 of the Virginia Constitution;
King and Queen County VA, passes Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution
the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”; and
Page County Board votes unanimously, Second Amendment Sanctuary
County supervisors unanimously passed a resolution for Page County to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary.
Grayson County VA, Passes Second Amendment Sanctuary 5-0
There’s been a lot of movement across the State to declare “sanctuary” counties and cities. Senator Carrico noted that he’s speaking to try and give some insight on the matter and convince Grayson County that this would be a good thing.
Madison Co. VA, a “Second Amendment sanctuary”
Supervisor Hoffman moved that the Board approve Resolution #2019-19 [Right to Bear Arms], seconded by Supervisor Foster.

Floyd County VA, Supervisors unanimously approve sanctuary resolution
Floyd County joins dozens of other localities and counties throughout Virginia that have passed similar resolutions, although Chairman Lauren Yoder and his board made efforts to personalize Floyd’s resolution to the community.
Isle of Wight Co. VA, becomes Second Amendment ‘Constitutional’ county
The Isle of Wight Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution on Thursday night that makes it a Second Amendment "Constitutional" county.
Essex County VA, adopts Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution
The undersigned Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Essex, Virginia hereby certifies that the Resolution set forth above was duly adopted during an open meeting on January 7, 2020, by a majority of the members of the Board of Supervisors
