Plainfield Township Regular Meeting Passes Second Amendment Resolution
It was no accident Effingham County’s resolution to protect the rights of gun owners stole an important word from the very people the resolution was intended to provoke, supporters of the country’s sanctuary cities movement.
Mr. Rabe made a motion to adopt the Resolution, seconded by Mr. Cain. The Resolution was voted on. On vote, motion carried.
Motion by Member Neuhauser, Second by Member Crawford to approve Second Amendment Resolution 20 (E18-62). Motion carried by Voice Vote. Member Sundell opposed.
The People of Gallatin County, Illinois. do hereby oppose the enactment of any legislation that would infringe upon the Right of the People to keep and bear arms
The Stark County Board adopted a resolution supporting the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution on the right of citizens to bear arms, requesting that the privilege not be infringed.
26 of Illinois' 102 counties have passed "gun sanctuary" resolutions or similar measures. The term is a play on the phrase "sanctuary city," which describes cities where political and law enforcement leaders limit their cooperation
The board also approved a resolution opposing the enactment of any legislation that would infringe upon the citizens right to bear arms.
Today, the Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners, unanimously passed a resolution to make Calhoun County a Gun Sanctuary County.
