BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SARPY COUNTY, NEBRASKA
Declaring Support of the 2nd Amendment and the United States and Nebraska Constitutions.
Whereas, Sarpy County recognizes local government’s responsibility to protect the inalienable and individual rights of the people enumerated in the Bill of Rights, United States Constitution, Nebraska State Constitution, and those fundamental rights endowed upon the people by their creator; and,
Whereas, it is the desire of the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners to declare their support of ALL rights and liberties of citizens of Sarpy County; including the right of the people to worship and peacefully assemble, to keep and bear arms, and freedom of speech; and,
Whereas, the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners affirm their oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Nebraska and the laws of the State of Nebraska.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners that they hereby declare that they shall stand and defend the rights and liberties of all Sarpy County Citizens, which are guaranteed by the United States and Nebraska Constitutions.
The above Resolution was approved by a vote of the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners at a public meeting duly held in accordance with the applicable law on the 08 day of June 2021
