A RESOLUTION DECLARING MILLER COUNTY TO BE A CONSTITUTIONAL PRESERVATION COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Miller County Commissioners desire to declare its support for the Constitution of the United States of America, with direct emphasis on the First and Second Amendment, and the Missouri Constitution.
WHEREAS, the members of the Miller County Commission took an oath to support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Missouri.
WHEREAS, the Miller County Commission respects and endorses the First Amendment of the United States Constitution to grant and preserve the Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of Religion which establishes the right to worship our Creator as intended and stated by our Founding Fathers.
WHEREAS, the Miller County Commission respects and endorses the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution to grant and preserve the right to keep and bear arms as intended and stated by our Founding Fathers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Miller County Commission, by the authority granted to the Commission by the laws of the State of Missouri and the citizens of Miller County, Missouri to stand and defend their rights and liberties, which are guaranteed by the United States and Missouri Constitutions, we hereby declare the resolution as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Miller County Commission affirms its support for the Law Enforcement Officers within Miller County, Missouri in their exercise of their sound discretion and affirms its resolve to support decisions made by our Law Enforcement Officers not to enforce any unconstitutional restrictions against any citizen.
