With the increased suppression of free speech and anticipation of more restrictions on firearms under the new regime, the sanctuary county effort in Wisconsin has begun to pick up steam. In December, Wood County passed their resolution, Clark County started a new team to become a sanctuary county, Ozaukee County began to organize a new effort, and Green County got their constitutional rights resolution to pass the committee unanimously.
Several of the 2A sanctuary county pages have been impacted but it appears to have only encouraged the movement. The Wisconsin GrandSons of Liberty group, which has been documenting and assisting county groups to get their resolution passed had their Facebook page removed. They responded by switching to MeWe and suggested that the groups make contingency plans for social media.
