In a passive way Wayne County refused to meet the requests of its constituents by passing a resolution. Instead they opted to release a proclamation that was not made in a meeting setting, was not on the county record and was simply released as a letterhead. The proclamation reiterated that they has sworn an oath to the state and US constitutions. The wording is very misleading as state laws were listed beside the two constitutions as being something they would not only uphold.. but defend.
We will NOT be adding this county to the national map.
