Menominee County Michigan, has taken up the Sanctuary title when it comes to citizens’ right to bear arms. Tuesday night the County’s Board of Commissioners voted 5-2 to approve a resolution declaring Menominee County a Second Amendment Sanctuary County, opposing any legislation infringing upon gun ownership and affirming its support of the Sheriff and Prosecuting Attorney in the exercise of their judgement not to enforce any statute or law that conflicts with that right. And, Menominee County isn’t alone in the move. To date, about a dozen and a half counties in Michigan have passed similar resolutions reinforcing Second Amendment rights.
