Butts County Board of Commissioners went forward with their proclamation instead of issuing a resolution 10th of February, 2020 brought forth by Chairman Ken Rivers. The Proclamation expresses the counties support for the Second Amendment but goes no further than mere words. Chairman Ken Rivers made the motion to approve, Comm. Russ Crumbley seconded the motion. The final vote was 5-0 in favor.
Copies of the proclamation will be sent to state legislators, no mention was made if it would be sent to the Governor or Lt. Governor.
