Union County NC, Declared a Second Amendment Sanctuary

Over the past several years, infringements have been made or credibly threatened to the rights of Union County citizens to keep and bear arms, which rights are protected under the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and Article I, Section 30 of the Constitution of North Carolina. As Union County stands in resolve that these rights are worthy of protection, Commissioner Aikmus requests that the Board of Commissioners consider the adoption of the attached resolution declaring Union County to be a Second Amendment Sanctuary County
