Catawba County, NC Adopts 2nd Amendment Resolution, Cabarrus Approves Support

Chair Isenhower opened the floor for comments regarding a resolution declaring Catawba County a Constitutional Rights Protected County to protect the rights of its citizen to keep and bear arms. Eighteen people came forward to speak in favor of the resolution, one person was opposed and one asked that the adoption of the resolution be delayed to further study the ramifications of its passage. Each commissioner spoke regarding their support of the 2nd Amendment and Vice-Chair Beatty made a motion to adopt the resolution. The motion carried unanimously.
