Nye County, Nevada has declared itself a Sanctuary County. It appears that this resolution is targeted specifically at opposing new gun legislation requiring background checks for private-party gun sales, which was apparently part of a new law signed by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak earlier in 2019.
