JACKSON COUNTY, Texas — Jackson County officially becomes the first second amendment sanctuary county in the Crossroads.
The resolution, stating it is intending to fully protect the second amendment, the right to bear arms.
“I really appreciate the court accepting the resolution and I’m looking forward to making copies of that for the public and placing that resolution here at the courthouse,” states Jackson County Sheriff A.J. Louderback.
Presented by Louderback, then drafted on November 26 th , the resolution was passed unanimously by the court.
“With the help of the sheriff they brought forward a resolution that basically says that Jackson county is a sanctuary country for second amendment rights, and I think it’s extremely important for our citizens.” adds, Jackson County Judge, Jill Sklar.
In the writing, citing the constitution, saying:
“Every citizen shall have the right to keep bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the state.”
Commissioner Johnny Belicek of precinct 3 says it was “an honor to sign it, one of the things that really meant a lot to me to sign, because really we the people are the only thing left for the constitution it’s ours, we gotta protect it somehow.” … to read the full article click here
