There were a LOT of Board of Supervisors meetings tonight and the turnout was enormous! If you weren’t able to follow everything (join the club), I’ll give you a brief update here.
Keep in mind, that it is midnight and I don’t really have time to come up with an exhaustive list, but we have seen Roanoke County, Tazewell, Amherst, Rappahannock, Russel, King George, Gloucester, and Orange become the latest to join the Sanctuary Counties movement. It was truly a phenomenal effort, and much credit is owed to VCDL and the patriotic citizens who showed up to make their voices heard.
However, the fight is nowhere close to being over. There are more meetings coming up and we need to make sure that we turn out in massive crowds. In order to do so, we HAVE to get the word out! Here is one of the upcoming events:
