BENTON, The Franklin County Board Tuesday passed a resolution showing its support for the 2nd Amendment affirming Franklin County as a Gun Sanctuary County.
Board Chairman Randall Crocker tells us this resolution is non-binding and that he received support for it from some residents and one city which he did not name.
Franklin County now joins several other counties in Illinois in efforts to thwart the state legislatures efforts to enact stricter gun control with this resolution.
